News - 2011 Bell Real Estate, Emerald Community Support Fund Calendar Grants Awarded
Bell Real Estate -- Emerald Community Support Fund grants awarded emergency and support services, environmental, arts and sporting groups have received an early Christmas present thanks to the innovative Community Calender Support Fund grants.
Now in it’s second year, all 11 groups who applied for grants we awarded funds and notified in writing. Local radio 3MDR, Clematis Fire Brigade, The Caring Women’s Group, Hills Autism Group & Special Needs Support Group, Goodwill Recycling Op Shop, Friends of Emerald Lake Park, EmFsus, Ranges Craft Heritage and Arts Network, Emerald Netball, Football and Tennis clubs were all recipients for the innovative project. The grants will assist in improving or purchasing equipment and facilities and requests ranged from a freezer for a “soup kitchen” to exercise bikes.
The funds were raised from the sales of the 2011 Bell Real Estate - Community Support Calendar. The sale of the 2012 calendar has commenced in earnest in many Emerald businesses, making excellent presents for those who receive them and those beneficiaries of the grants. The calendar displays the talents of local artists and celebrates the exceptional environmental and historic localities in Emerald. The community is encouraged to contribute to the program through purchasing a calendar that features 14 months, local retailers contact information, local event dates and emergency numbers.
Bell Real Estate recognises these community groups of the Emerald District as the backbone of the community. Through this calendar project, Bell hopes to promote this initiative that gives back to the community in which they share. Emerald Community House administrates the funds and awards the grants.
Bell Real Estate, Emerald Community Support Fund Calendar - 2012 Grants Program
The Bell Real Estate, Emerald – Community Support Fund Grant is designed to fund local Community Groups and Clubs within the Emerald District to purchase equipment or assist small projects that improve their facilities or services to members. The fund is administered by Emerald Community House.
Grant Funding
Projects up to the value of $500.
Application Dates
2012 Application Dates are still to be advised. It is expected to be open from sometime in July 2012 and closing in October 2012.
Eligibility
• Open to all Community Groups and Clubs within the Emerald District postcode
• Funding is only available for new projects.
• Community Group to provide photos of project outcome for promotional purposes
