Setting your course for the future

Emerald Community House is a registered provider of adult education with specific funding through our Ranges Skills and Education Alliance project to develop short courses for 18-25 year olds. Our business plan will support school leavers, young job seekers, parents and job shifters to up-skill and become more competitive in getting that much needed job or increasing their employability resilience. This is a key component of the Centre of Resilience strategy which is ECH’s community development model. Let’s Learn Local!

“Learn Local” programs are designed to help learners gain the confidence and skills needed to look for a job, explore potential industries or go on to further study. They include courses in communication, job search skills, getting ready to go back to work and work experience. But we will also begin to explore community development pathways, international humanitarian careers, grant writing and emergency management. We deliver pre-accredited training and are registered with the Victorian Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board. The quality and structure of all pre-accredited programs is regularly reviewed by the ACFE Board.
